We had a great #VirtualLunch today, Friday, March 31, 2023, with Jeff Herron, the Senior Director of Client Advisory with Sandline Global. My key takeaways were:
1️⃣ One’s experience with e-discovery software may not be as valuable without good supporting services.
2️⃣ Professionals may be less likely to leverage e-discovery software that is not user-friendly and easy to navigate.
3️⃣ There is more discussion about the practical application of analytics than of artificial intelligence.
4️⃣ Effectively managing emerging data types and capturing website material are key issues in e-discovery today.
5️⃣ Screen-scraping to capture website and social media content is not the ideal approach for defensibly collecting content.
6️⃣ The uncertain economy is prompting the deployment of more cost-centric e-discovery strategies.
7️⃣ Legal teams need to balance costs and budgets while continuing to address the explosion of data.
