We had a super-productive #virtuallunch conversation today, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, which started out with a fun discussion of Dennis Garcia’s LexBlog, Inc. post about what we can all learn from Hall of Famers Lou Brock and Tom Seaver – https://www.dennisgarciablog.com/2020/09/lessons-learned-from-lou-brock-tom-seaver/ – and continued on with a creative exchange of ideas about the future of work. My key takeaways were: (1) There was a lot of unnecessary business travel prior to the pandemic; (2) There will be a push for legislation requiring employers to pay for remote equipment; (3) Working from home could turn into an attorney/client privilege issue over the next year; (4) Work-life boundaries have changed and returned to their heightened level of importance; and, (5) When you are leading teams, you have to be smart and set the tone from the top.
