Wow. We seem to only be scratching the surface when it comes to the potential of the #feedbackforum on the #virtuallunch, which was evident by the fun and engaging conversation with the Onit team today, Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Thanks to Jill Black, Josie Johnson, Rob Johnson🎙👨💼, Paige Edwards, and Nadine Stuttle for sharing their #hackathon experience. My key takeaways were: (1) Hackathons give clients and partners the chance to leverage technology in unique ways, while giving the provider greater insight into their challenges; (2) 10 hours in the real world required 30 hours in the virtual world; (3) Hackathons can help people see the art of the possible; (4) Hackathon leaders are essential; (5) It is critical to incorporate fun into a hackathon; (6) For a hackathon to be successful, you need to identify the objectives in advance; and, (7) You can vote in Onit’s hackathon here – https://www.hackthehouse.app/vote. I am grateful to attendees Jaimie Field, Jim Bocchino, Stephen Embry, Dennis Garcia ⚖, Deena Baikowitz, Suzanne Schwartz, Jennifer Gillman – Law Firm Matchmaker, Minoo Razavi, Jeff Schwarz, Molly McDonough, Sherine Clarke, Robin Moselle, Bernadette Beekman, and Monica Sandler, MCOM, MCT.
