Ken Koehn, CPA, CMA, CLM was such an engaging and dynamic #SpecialGuest on the #VirtualLunch today, Friday, May 7, 2021. He sparked a great conversation about law firm management, leadership, and success. My key takeaways were: (1) While the in-office schedule that firms will ultimately adopt is unclear, Wednesday may be a certainty; (2) It has been harder to retain new clients in the pandemic, so firms are focusing on expanding their relationships with existing clients; (3) A profitability analysis is critical and can transform a firm’s understanding of its business; (4) The appetite for alternative fee arrangements may be waning in the current environment; (5) Clients find blended rates appealing; and, (6) It is critical to cultivate human connections. Thanks to Ed Deaton, Lydia Flocchini, and Laurence Winters of SurePoint Technologies for participating and supporting our May series on #GrowthandEfficiency, as well as to attendees Suzanne Schwartz, Sheila A.
